At Lake County Title (LCT), we are closely monitoring the ongoing developments regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to ensure the health and safety of our employees, clients, colleagues and business partners.
On March 22, 2020, Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, issued a "Stay at Home" order for non-essential businesses. Real Estate Title Companies are considered an essential business in the State of Ohio, and therefore, we will remain open during this time.
We have taken and continue to take the necessary precautions to keep our employees and customers safe.
Those precautions are as follows:
- Most employees have the option and capability to work from home. Those that remain in the office are all more than 6 ft apart and in separate offices. Our offices and conference room are cleaned daily and all door handles and frequently touched areas are wiped down and sanitized multiple times a day and before and after each closing transaction.
- All employees' temperatures are being checked daily and if any employee feels ill, in any manner, they are asked to stay home. They will be paid for any sick time they must take during this outbreak crisis.
- We have an outside drop box for any documentation or checks that need to be delivered, limiting the amount of contact with clients.
- Agents/Notary are required to wash their hands before and after any contact with our clients. Agents will wear gloves during all closings.
- Agents will remain at least 6 ft away from the customer(s) at all times.
- Pens given to the customers are new and sanitized and each customer will take their pen with them after the documents are signed.
- At this time, LCT will not be performing any at home closings for the safety of our customers and employees.
Safe and Efficient Closings - Lake County Title offers the following closing options for our clients:
